Hulme, Otie

otie hulmeMy dad was a prisoner at Lamsdorf and was also on the death march.

When he was returned home he was sent to hospital, he was in a malnourished state and left him with TB, my gran and my Mum (who was his fiancé then) did not recognise him, he had to call them.

Otie was born in Salford Manchester.

He was captured at Dunkirk, he was in the Lancashire Fusiliers, his camp number was 344 and he worked down the mines. Like most of them he very rarely spoke of his time there. My Dad is the one on the far right with all the hair.
